The reason I assumed it was stuck was because he stopped moving around and just stayed in one spot. Lake trout so not sure if that was the reason behind him getting stuck or if it was just because it was a big fish and that was him fighting to stay on the bottom. I did the same and left tension on the line for a few minutes and reeled him the rest of the way in. Tried reeling in some more after a few minutes and he finally came in to about 40 ft. I then just let it sit there for a few minutes with a lot of tension on the line and tried reeling in some more. So I started reeling him back in and he was stuck at 54 ft again. I let out line and he started going out a little bit. I couldn't reel him in anymore and he wasn't moving at all. Reeled my fish in to 54 feet without too much of a problem, from pretty far out. I've had this happen 1 time this weekend.
